Owner
RedBird Capital Partners (Gerry Cardinale) · since 31 August 2022
The American investment firm RedBird Capital Partners, led by Gerry Cardinale, owns 99.93% of the club after buying it from Elliott in 2022 (approx. €1.2 billion). In January 2026 RedBird refinanced Elliott's vendor loan through Comvest, and Elliott thereby left the club entirely.

Ownership history
Silvio Berlusconi / Fininvest
Berlusconi bought the club on 20 February 1986 and saved it from bankruptcy; the most successful era in the club's history.
Li Yonghong (Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux)
The purchase of 99.93% was completed on 13 April 2017, partly financed by a €303 million loan from Elliott.
Elliott Management
Elliott took over in July 2018 after Li defaulted on the loan, and appointed Paolo Scaroni as chairman.
RedBird Capital Partners
Agreement on 1 June 2022, completed on 31 August 2022; Elliott initially kept a vendor loan/minority interest, which was refinanced and repaid in January 2026.
Facilities
- Casa MilanThe club's headquarters on Via Aldo Rossi in the Portello area of Milan, opened in 2014, with a museum (Mondo Milan), club shop, ticket office, restaurant and media studio. The club bought the building for €42 million in 2020 after renting it from Vittoria Assicurazioni.
- MilanelloThe training centre in Carnago (province of Varese), about 40 km north-west of Milan, opened in 1963 and covers around 160,000 m². It has several grass and artificial pitches, a medical centre and accommodation for some academy players.
- San Siro (Stadio Giuseppe Meazza)Milan and Inter bought San Siro and the surrounding area from the City of Milan through the company Stadio San Siro S.p.A.; the deed was signed on 5 November 2025, just as prosecutors opened an investigation into the sale. The clubs are planning a new stadium designed by Foster + Partners and MANICA, financed with Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan as arrangers.
